Group faults APC south stakeholders’ vote of confidence on Gombe gov

A group under the aegis of Tanagale Intelligentsia Movement has faulted the vote of confidence passed on Gombe State governor, Muhammadu Yahaya, who was recently presented with certificate by the All Progressives Congress stakeholders from southern district.

According to a statement issued by the group’s Organising Secretary, Benjamin Dangoma, and Publicity Secretary Yusuf Mela which was made available to our correspondent, the group lamented the decision of leaders from the southern district to endorse the governor.

Recall that there have been a widespread affirmation by traditional rulers, state house of assembly, the three senatorial districts affirming the governor’s performance, and endorsing him for another term in office.

The group wondered why, out of all the groups that endorsed the governor for second term, leaders from the southern part of the state comprising Balanga, Billiri, Shongom, and Kaltungo local government areas had to crown it with certificate.

TIM said, “Out of the three senatorial districts of Gombe State, only Gombe South stakeholders passed a vote of confidence on the governor to the point of presenting a certificate in his office on the 20th September, 2021.

“You see why we are not being taken seriously?” the group added.
