Becoming Suicidal, Threats If Her Baby Was Black, Secret Wedding And More: Highlights From Prince Harry And Meghan Markle's Explosive Interview With Oprah

Meghan Markle has sensationally claimed Kate Middleton made her cry in the run-up to her wedding and said: ‘I’ve forgiven her.’

Speaking to Oprah Winfrey on Sunday, the Duchess of Sussex said: ‘A few days before the wedding she was upset about something – it made my cry.

‘It really hurt my feelings. I thought in the context of everything that was going on in those days leading to the wedding, it didn’t make sense, not to be supportive, what with everything that was going on with my dad and everything

‘It wasn’t a confrontation…she apologized, and I have forgiven her. What was hard to get over was something that I didn’t do, but happened to me.’

Meghan said this during Sunday’s explosive CBS interview with Oprah when asked about previously-reported claims that she had made the Duchess of Cambridge cry.

The two royals are said to have clashed over Meghan’s insistence that her flower girls – including Kate’s daughter Princess Charlotte – should not wear tights for the May 2018 ceremony in Windsor.

Oprah asked Meghan: ‘Did you make Kate cry?’

Meghan answered: ‘No.’ Pressed by Oprah where the claims had come from, Meghan answered: ‘The reverse happened.’

She said that drama over her dad Thomas Markle – who was caught arranging set-up photos with a paparazzi photographer days before the wedding – led to unbearable tension during the week of her ceremony.

Meghan explained: ‘I thought in the context of everything that was going on in those days leading to the wedding, it didn’t make sense, not to be supportive, what with everything that was going on with my dad and everything.’

The Duchess, who is pregnant with her second child, added that she struggled to cope with claims that it was her who had left Kate in tears.

She went on to tell Oprah how an unnamed member of the royal family had raised ‘concerns’ about how dark her unborn baby’s skin would be when she was pregnant with Archie, now one.

Prince Harry confirmed Meghan’s version of events but refused to name the royal who had made the remarks.

In an explosive night of revelations, Meghan went on to tell how the pressures of royal life, and negative media stories about her, had driven her to constant thoughts of suicide.

She said: ‘I just didn’t want to be alive anymore…I thought it (suicide) would solve everything for everyone” said Meghan of her thought of suicide.

I went to Human Resources but they said: “There is nothing we can do to help you because you are not a paid member of the institution. Nothing was ever done.’

Meanwhile, Harry told of how Prince Charles had cut him off financially in early 2020 – and stopped taking his calls during ‘Megxit’ last year, when he and Meghan departed royal life for American.

The couple also had happy news for Oprah and viewers, revealing that their second baby is a girl, and that she will be born this summer.

Meghan revealed that three days before her televised "Royal Wedding," she and Prince Harry got married in a secret ceremony.

"This spectacle is for the world," Meghan said. "But we want our union for us."

Meghan said the two were married in a private ceremony without family, with only the Archbishop of Canterbury. She added that the marriage certificate that hangs in her home has the date of the private ceremony.
