Air strikes in Imo villages as Nigeria military search for ESN operatives

The Nigerian military is currently carrying out airstrikes in Orlu, Imo State.


Some footage of the airstrikes shared online by residents of the area has shown people being subjected to military actions.

The Nigerian military is carrying out airstrikes in order to fish out operatives of the Eastern Security Network (ESN).

Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, had set up the security network to secure communities against attacks from armed Fulani herdsmen.

In the viral videos, a helicopter belonging to the Nigerian military is seen shooting into communities as residents run in panic for safety.

In one of the videos, a child could be heard crying and calling on the mother.
