SERAP Charges Gbajabiamila, Lawan As Akpabio Indicts NASS Members In NDDC Corruption Case

The Socio-Economic Responsibility and Accountability Project (SERAP) has charged the leaders of National Assembly to collaborate with corruption combating agencies in Nigeria to investigate the allegation of Niger Delta Minister, Godswill Akpabio, that the biggest beneficiaries of NDDC contracts were members of the National Assembly.
In a shocking two minute clip from the investigative hearing of the House of Reps Committee on NDDC held today in Abuja, Hon. Godswill Akpabio while speaking before the panel accused members of the National Assembly of having reaped from the unchecked flow of cash spiraling through the NDDC of which is now being called to question.

In the video, Akpabio is recorded trying to have his say by speaking on records which prove the veracity of his claim but the committee chairman kept asking to stop talking and hitting the gavel numerous times.
Following this, SERAP in a tweet on their official handle charged the leaders of the National Assembly Hon.Femi Gbajabiamila and Senate President Ahmed Lawan to collaborate with the EFCC and ICPC to investigate the allegation made by Akpabio.
